NORTH AUGUSTA LANDFILL SITE (8212 Coville Rd.):
• $ All Non-Hazardous waste will be accepted. Household garbage may be deposited into the lland fill area, however if it is compactable garbage it should be brought to Maynard. Only the Maynard Recycling Centre can efficiently and cost effectively manage compactable waste. To do otherwise will needlessly fill the North Augusta Landfill Site to capacity and leave the municipality without a landfill site to deposit the "hard to get rid of items" such a mattresses, furniture, building materials, etc. Standard tipping fees will still apply.
• Core recyclables such as that listed above will be separated into appropriate bins and containers.
• Large quantities of brush, grass clippings & leaves must be brought to the North Augusta Landfill and deposited into the compost area.
•Tires, white goods/appliances, as listed above, must be brought to the MAYNARD RECYCLING CENTRE ONLY.
• Vehicles and parts thereof must be brought to a licensed scrap dealer.
• Household Hazardous Waste must be brought to the MAYNARD RECYCLING CENTRE ONLY. Anyone caught trying to dump these wastes in the landfill area will have lost site privileges.
• All commercial haulers will be diverted to the North Augusta Landfill Site or to the Brockville Transfer Station. They will not be able to get service at the Maynard Site.
Together, Augusta residents can work for a cleaner and safer environment.
