The Township of Augusta is currently seeking applications for the positions of Livestock Evaluator and Line Fences Viewer.
The responsibilities of a Livestock Evaluator include the impartial investigation of incidences of livestock kills or injuries and filing the program application/report, including pictures, with the municipality. These investigations are time sensitive, meaning that the livestock evaluator must be available to investigate within 72 hours of a reported incident.
The responsibilities for a Fence Viewer include enforcing the Line Fences Act procedures, attend at the property to arbitrate line fence disputes between the owners of adjoining properties and provide a ruling to the Clerk of the Municipality.
The term for the appointment(s) is concurrent with the Term of Council.
Members shall receive remuneration for services.
